Letter from the pastor:

Welcome! We are a small baptist church that exalts God's word and the supremacy of God in salvation through Jesus Christ Alone. We seek to be faithful to God's truth by study, prayer, worship, and fellowship. We believe in the importance of missions and Biblical evangelism. We are all friends and are warm and welcoming to new friends, who want to join us in the joy of the Lord!

If you want to understand the scriptures better, then come by. We take God's word seriously. We examine the scriptures verse by verse, and look into the original languages and history. We love the truth of God, and by better understanding it we seek to draw closer to our God and king. No special knowledge is necessary to join us, only a heart that wants to see what God's word holds and to follow Christ. If you feel you just aren't growing, maybe you aren't. Come grow with us.

Why go to a small church? I have been a member in large churches with thousands of members with lots of programs and activities. There were many great speakers and lots going on. Why not be part of it now? Why do I encourage people to join a small church like ours? Here are some reasons:

1. God's word tells us we are to spur one another on to good works. In a large church most people have an anonymity, which is antithetical to the Bible. Biblically we are to know and be known, so we may support and encourage each other.
2. The fellowship at Cornerstone is second to none. We really care about each other, and are involved in each other's lives. In a large church you will most likely only know about as many people as you will in a small church.
3. We have a lot going on. We have both Sunday morning and evening worship, a mid week study, men's and women's studies, fellowship dinners, camping, and lots of unofficial visits to each other's houses for swimming, games, movies, etc. We have more going on than most people can imagine, because we want to spend time together. Our best friends are in the church, and we would love to add to our friends.
4. The discipleship and teaching at Cornerstone is rich. Those who attend Cornerstone often remark that they have never grown so fast in their Christian walk, knowledge of God, understanding of scripture, and comprehension of the great doctrines of our faith. If you want to know and grow, there is no where else to go.
